Eighteen SBMTV volunteers hiked up the back side of Jesusita on Feb 15th to repair several eroded switch backs that were in need of some TLC We brushed, we installed erosion control features and we moved at least a ton of rock. 2 hardy crib wall were installed, added in-slope and armored both switch backs to withstand another decade of extreme use on this extremely popular trail.
Everyone worked their butts off and was properly nackered by the end of the day. When the lunch whistle blew you could it was clearly quitin time! Paul Herning and the Chicken Ranch were our salvation as we feasted on oak roasted pollo supremeo ,washed down with a couple ice cold frosty beverages.
