San Ysidro Trail (middle), Level 2 Trail work – brushing and tread.

  • Assessment: Vegetation has encroached on numerous sections of the middle sections of trail.  Encroachment has pushed trail users to out edge of trail, trail tread has broken away, and sections of tread have become extremely narrow.  Passing and in some cases using the tread in these sections is not possible.
  • Work: Mitigate brush on all narrow sections of trail.  Re-establish trail tread where possible – remove slough and debris to bring tread near FS width guidelines
